Millat Industries Quality manager

What we do:
We machine component parts for the automotive, aerospace, medical, and commercial industries. We use state-of-the-art CNC machine tools, CAD design systems and CMM inspection systems controlled by computers, robots, toolmakers, and machinists.

Position Summary
Plans, directs, and manages the activities of the Quality Department in order to meet quality objectives set by Millat Industries Corp. and our customers within the Aerospace, Automotive & Commercial Navigation industries.


  • Maintain Compliance with ISO9001/TS16949/AS9100 QMS requirements.
  • Create/maintain PPAP documentation (Control Plans, FMEAs, PSWs, etc)
  • Measure/document dimensional results (100% Layout/First Article).
  • Use industry-accepted Root Cause Analysis Tools (5 Why, 8-D, etc.) to respond to corrective/preventative action requests (both internal and external).
  • Interpret customer prints and technical specifications.
  • Organize/manage activities for determining initial and continued process capability, including gathering data, performing SPC calculations and analyzing the results.
  • Create/manage inspection sampling plans and analyze results.
  • Proper knowledge on the dispositioning of nonconforming product.
  • Manage incoming inspections.
  • Manage Final Audits.
  • Manage the workload and activities of the Quality Inspectors.
  • Train associates in the quality related functions.
  • Coordinate quality support within the company to ensure on-time delivery of quality parts to our customers.

Required Capabilities:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5 years' experience Quality-related field (ASQ certifications a plus).
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills, that translates across all levels of the organization. Good organizational skills.
  • Understand and applies GD&T principles.
  • Knowledge of the proper use of basic and advanced measuring and test equipment.
  • Promotes a safe, professional and ethical work environment.
  • Perform administrative duties consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge on the use of CMM's and hand gages to inspect parts/gages/fixtures and determine compliance with customer requirements and technical specifications is a plus.
