Millat Industries hosted its highly anticipated “Wellness Week,” an event dedicated to promoting physical and mental well-being among its associates. The initiative reinforced the company’s commitment to creating a healthy and supportive workplace environment.
The event featured a variety of activities and services designed to address diverse wellness needs. A key highlight was free on-site biometric screenings and health risk assessments administered by Kettering Health Network, where associates received critical insights into their health metrics, including blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose levels. These screenings allowed many participants to identify potential health risks early and plan preventive measures.
Associates also enjoyed on-site massages, which provided a much-needed opportunity to relax and de-stress during the workday. In addition, stretching classes were held during the week, offering an engaging way for employees to improve flexibility, reduce tension, and enhance posture.
The company further demonstrated its commitment to public health with an on-site vaccination clinic, where associates received flu shots and other essential vaccines, ensuring they were better prepared for the upcoming winter season.
To top off the weeklong event, Millat Industries also launched its new Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a confidential support service offering resources such as
counseling, financial guidance, and tools to navigate life’s challenges. The program’s introduction marked a significant step in the company’s dedication to providing comprehensive health support.
“We are proud of the success of Wellness Week and the enthusiastic participation of our team,” said Keith Isaacs, Vice President of Corporate Services. “At Millat Industries, we understand that our employees’ health and happiness are vital to our overall success. This event was an investment in their well-being and a testament to our values as a company.”
The week-long event was met with positive feedback from employees, many of whom appreciated the accessible and diverse offerings. “It was great to have these resources available at work,” said Johnathan Jancauskas, Shipping & Receiving Technician. “The biometric screening was eye-opening, and the massages were a fantastic way to unwind. I also feel reassured knowing the new EAP is there if I ever need support.”
With Wellness Week now concluded, Millat Industries has set a strong example for how businesses can prioritize employee health. By focusing on holistic well-being, the company has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
