When Details Matter – Millat Industries Tours GE Aerospace’s Test Operations Site!

August 6, 2024

Sometimes, you need to take a step back and look at the big picture to remember why the details matter.

That is exactly what Millat Industries’ Custom Machining Division did when they visited GE Aerospace’s Test Operations Site, located on 7,000 acres in Peebles, Ohio, in July.

GE performs the vast majority of their jet engine testing at this facility – both development engine testing and production engine testing. The Millat Industries team was able to get up close and personal with the GEnx, Passport, LEAP-1B, and GE9X engines, quickly identifying hardware that we had made on each engine. These engines power the Boeing 787, Bombardier Global 7500, Boeing 737 MAX, and Boeing 777X, respectively. What better way to understand your contribution to product safety than to see it for yourself?

The combination of investment and technology at this site is truly impressive to see. Today’s jet engines are extremely complex, with numerous ancillary systems added to improve efficiency. While complex, they are also ultra reliable, and Millat Industries is proud to play a significant role in this reliability.

The details do matter, and that’s why we take care of the details for our customer.
